The programme, outlined.

  1. 01

    Day 1 — Field recording

    Microphones, levels and listening. Out in Abuja by mid-morning; capturing the city in stereo and mid-side.

  2. 02

    Day 2 — Foley & the courtyard

    Building sound from objects — footsteps, cloth, weather. Recording foley to picture in the courtyard studio.

  3. 03

    Day 3 — The mix & listen-back

    Editing and mixing the weekend's material in the sound room, closing with a group listen-back at dusk.
