§ Residency

Harmattan Fellows

Twelve fellows, five disciplines, one house. Fellows receive a private studio, a monthly stipend, a materials budget, and weekly critique from resident faculty and visiting practitioners. The season closes with a public showing that opens the Centre to the city.

§ Curriculum

The programme, outlined.

  1. 01

    Month 1 — Orientation & studio

    Settling in, studio setup, a project charter agreed with your house lead, and the first full-cohort critique.

  2. 02

    Months 2–3 — Production

    Deep work in your discipline. Weekly critique, monthly one-on-ones with resident faculty, visiting practitioner sessions.

  3. 03

    Month 4 — Cross-house exchange

    A collaboration sprint across disciplines — filmmakers with writers, technologists with sound. One shared piece per pairing.

  4. 04

    Month 5 — Work-in-progress showing

    A closed showing for the house. Edit, cut, rewrite — the month of hard decisions before the public sees anything.

  5. 05

    Month 6 — Finishing & public showing

    Final production, installation and rehearsal, closing with the public showing that opens the Centre to the city.
